2012-09-20Merge tag 'multi-platform-for-3.7' of git://sources.calxeda.com/kernel/linux ↵Olof Johansson
into next/multiplatform Enable initial ARM multi-platform support for highbank, mvebu, socfpga, picoxcell, and vexpress. Multi-platform support is dependent on mach/gpio.h removal and restructuring of DEBUG_LL and dtb build rules included in this branch. This has been built for all defconfigs, and booted on highbank with all 5 platforms enabled. 2012-08-23ARM: pmu: remove arm_pmu_type enumerationSudeep KarkadaNagesha
The arm_pmu_type enumeration was initially introduced to identify different PMU types in the system, the usual one being that on the CPU (ARM_PMU_DEVICE_CPU). With the removal of the PMU reservation code and the introduction of devicetree bindings for the CPU PMU, the enumeration is no longer required. This patch removes the enumeration and updates the various CPU PMU platform devices so that they no longer pass an .id field referring to identify the PMU type. 2012-08-16ARM: pxa: add devicetree code for irq handlingDaniel Mack
Properly register on-chip interrupt using the irqdomain logic. The number of interrupts is taken from the devicetree node. That includes the following changes: - cpu_has_ipr() was converted from an inline function to a static bool variable, so it can be set using the "marvell,intc-priority" property inside the device node of the tree. - IRQ_BASE was converted from a macro to a runtime variable so that it can be initialized dynamically from the DT init code. - irq_base() now uses pxa_irq_base and just adds an offset. Hence, there are now no compile-time fixed values used in case of DT initialization. 2012-08-09Input: eeti_ts: pass gpio value instead of IRQArnd Bergmann
The EETI touchscreen asserts its IRQ line as soon as it has data in its internal buffers. The line is automatically deasserted once all data has been read via I2C. Hence, the driver has to monitor the GPIO line and cannot simply rely on the interrupt handler reception. In the current implementation of the driver, irq_to_gpio() is used to determine the GPIO number from the i2c_client's IRQ value. As irq_to_gpio() is not available on all platforms, this patch changes this and makes the driver ignore the passed in IRQ. Instead, a GPIO is added to the platform_data struct and gpio_to_irq is used to derive the IRQ from that GPIO. If this fails, bail out. The driver is only able to work in environments where the touchscreen GPIO can be mapped to an IRQ. Without this patch, building raumfeld_defconfig results in: drivers/input/touchscreen/eeti_ts.c: In function 'eeti_ts_irq_active': drivers/input/touchscreen/eeti_ts.c:65:2: error: implicit declaration of function 'irq_to_gpio' [-Werror=implicit-function-declaration] Signed-off-by: Daniel Mack <zonque@gmail.com> Signed-off-by: Arnd Bergmann <arnd@arndb.de> Cc: stable@vger.kernel.org (v3.2+) Cc: Dmitry Torokhov <dmitry.torokhov@gmail.com> Cc: Sven Neumann <s.neumann@raumfeld.com> Cc: linux-input@vger.kernel.org Cc: Haojian Zhuang <haojian.zhuang@gmail.com>

2012-07-19[ARM] pxa: remove IRQF_SAMPLE_RANDOM which is now a no-opTheodore Ts'o
With the changes in the random tree, IRQF_SAMPLE_RANDOM is now a no-op; interrupt randomness is now collected unconditionally in a very low-overhead fashion; see commit 775f4b297b. 2012-07-01ARM: pxa: hx4700: Fix basic suspend/resumePaul Parsons
Basic suspend/resume is fixed by ensuring that the PGSR registers are set correctly before sleep mode is entered. In particular four of the active low resets need to be driven high while in sleep mode, otherwise the unit resets itself instead of suspending. Another problem was that the PCFR_GPROD bit is set by the HTC bootloader; this caused GPIO reset (i.e. the reset button) to fail immediately after returning from sleep mode. 2012-05-13ARM: PCI: provide a default bus scan implementationRussell King

2012-05-13ARM: PCI: get rid of pci_std_swizzle()Russell King
Most PCI implementations use the standard PCI swizzle function, which handles the well defined behaviour of PCI-to-PCI bridges which can be found on cards (eg, four port ethernet cards.) Rather than having almost every platform specify the standard swizzle function, make this the default when no swizzle function is supplied. Therefore, a swizzle function only needs to be provided when there is something exceptional which needs to be handled. This gets rid of the swizzle initializer from 47 files, and leaves us with just two platforms specifying a swizzle function: ARM Integrator and Chalice CATS. Add the two standard UART signals (GPIO46_STUART_RXD, GPIO47_STUART_TXD) to the initial mfp config table hx4700_pin_config[] passed to pxa2xx_mfp_config(). Although pxa2xx_transceiver_mode() can subsequently set these two signals via its own call to pxa2xx_mfp_config(), pxa2xx_transceiver_mode() is only present when CONFIG_PXA_FICP=y. The asic3 driver now sets the DS1WM clock_rate from the newly added asic3_platform_data clock_rate field. This patch initializes the asic3_platform_data clock_rate field on the hx4700 platform. 2012-04-27ARM: pxa: mioa701 add camera output enable gpioRobert Jarzmik
The Micron MT9M111 camera chip needs its output enable to be activated in order to work. The bootloader is not required to activate it, so do it in machine code. Signed-off-by: Robert Jarzmik <robert.jarzmik@free.fr> Signed-off-by: Haojian Zhuang <haojian.zhuang@gmail.com>
2012-04-27ARM: pxa: use ioremap to access CPLDSascha Hauer
The pcm990 baseboard for the pcm027 module used to setup a static mapping for accessing the CPLD. It became illegal to call iotable_init that late. The pcm027 support is broken since then. This patch switches the cpld support to ioremap and removes all references to previous static mappings. 2012-04-27ARM: PXA2xx: MFP: fix potential direction bugIgor Grinberg
Pins configured as input and have MFP_LPM_DRIVE_* flag set, can have a wrong output value for some period of time (spike) during the suspend sequence. This can happen because the direction of the pins (GPDR) is set by software and the output level is set by hardware (PGSR) at a later stage. Fix the above potential bug by setting the output levels first. Also save the actual levels of the pins before the suspend and restore them after the resume, but before the direction settings take place, so the same bug as described above will not happen in the resume sequence. 2012-04-27ARM: PXA2xx: MFP: fix bug with MFP_LPM_KEEP_OUTPUTIgor Grinberg
Pins that have MFP_LPM_KEEP_OUTPUT set and are configured for output must retain the output state in low power mode. Currently, the pin direction configuration is overrided with values in gpdr_lpm[] array and do not obey the MFP_LPM_KEEP_OUTPUT setting. Fix the above bug and add some documentation to clarify the MFP_LPM_KEEP_OUTPUT setting purpose. 2012-04-27ARM: pxa: fix gpio wakeup settingRobert Jarzmik
In 3.3, gpio wakeup setting was broken. The call enable_irq_wake() didn't set up the PXA gpio registers (PWER, ...) anymore. Fix it at least for pxa27x. The driver doesn't seem to be used in pxa25x (weird ...), and the fix doesn't extend to pxa3xx and pxa95x (which don't have a gpio_set_wake() available). 2012-04-05ARM: fix __io macro for PCMCIARob Herring
With commit c334bc1 (ARM: make mach/io.h include optional), PCMCIA was broken. PCMCIA depends on __io() returning a valid i/o address, and most ARM platforms require IO_SPACE_LIMIT be set to 0xffffffff for PCMCIA. This needs a better fix with a fixed i/o address mapping, but for now we just restore things to the previous behavior. This fixes at91, omap1, pxa and sa11xx. pxa needs io.h if PCI is enabled, but PCMCIA is not. sa11xx already has IO_SPACE_LIMIT set to 0xffffffff, so it doesn't need an io.h. 2012-03-30ARM: fix builds due to missing <asm/system_misc.h> includesOlof Johansson
This does a sweeping change fixing up all the missing system_misc.h and system_info.h includes from the system.h split-up change. These were the ones I came across when building all defconfigs in arch/arm/configs, there might be more but they lack adequate build coverage to be easily caught. I'm expecting to get a lot of these piecemeal by each maintainer, so we might just as well do one sweeping change to get them all at once. Commit 737f360d5bef5e01c6cfa755dca0b449a154c1e0 "regulator: Remove support for supplies specified by struct device" caused this file to break, since it was still relying on the device field to be present.
