2011-10-17ARM: 7022/1: allow to detect conflicting zreladdrsSascha Hauer
Boards used to specify zreladdr in their Makefile.boot with zreladdr-y := x, so conflicting zreladdrs were silently overwritten. This patch changes this to zreladdr-y += x, so that we end up with multiple words in zreladdr in such a case. We can detect this later and complain if necessary. 2011-10-13pinctrl: add a driver for the U300 pinmuxLinus Walleij
This adds a driver for the U300 pinmux portions of the system controller "SYSCON". It also serves as an example of how to use the pinmux subsystem. This driver also houses the platform data for the only supported platform. This deletes the old U300 driver in arch/arm/mach-u300 and replace it with a driver using the new subsystem. The new driver is considerably fatter than the old one, but it also registers all 467 pins of the system and adds the power and EMIF pin groups and corresponding functions. The idea is to use this driver as a a reference for other implementation so it needs to be as complete and verbose as possible. 2011-09-26ARM: add an extra temp register to the low level debugging addruart macroNicolas Pitre
Some platforms (like OMAP not to name it) are doing rather complicated hacks just to determine the base UART address to use. Let's give their addruart macro some slack by providing an extra work register which will allow for much needed cleanups. This is basically a no-op as this commit is only adding the extra argument to the macro but no one is using it yet. 2011-09-08ARM: 7083/1: rewrite U300 GPIO to use gpiolibLinus Walleij
This rewrites the U300 GPIO so as to use gpiolib and struct gpio_chip instead of just generic GPIO, hiding all the platform specifics and passing in GPIO chip variant as platform data at runtime instead of the compiletime kludges. As a result <mach/gpio.h> is now empty for U300 and using just defaults. 2011-08-12ARM: gpio: make trivial GPIOLIB implementation the defaultRussell King
Rather than marking the mach/gpio.h header files which want to use the trivial GPIOLIB implementation, mark those which do not want to use it instead. This means that by default, you get the trivial implementation and only have to do something extra if you need to. This should encourage the use of the trivial default implementation. As an additional bonus, several gpio.h header files become empty. Rather than checking the MMU status in every instance of addruart, do it once in kernel/debug.S, and change the existing addruart macros to return both physical and virtual addresses. The main debug code can then select the appropriate address to use. This will also allow us to retreive the address of a uart for the MMU state that we're not current in. 2010-10-12spi/pl022: Add spi->mode support to AMBA SPI driverKevin Wells
This patch adds spi->mode support for the AMBA pl022 driver and allows spidev to correctly alter SPI modes. Unused fields used in the pl022 header file for the pl022_config_chip have been removed. The ab8500 client driver selects the data transfer size instead of the platform data. For platforms that use the amba pl022 driver, the unused fields in the controller data structure have been removed and the .mode field in the SPI board info structure is used instead. 2010-09-17ARM: 6377/1: supply _cansleep gpio function to U300Linus Walleij
We have to use _cansleep gpio accessors in the MMCI driver so as to avoid slowpath warnings, now U300 has MMCI but doesn't have these functions in place to siply wrap the existing non-sleeping functions into sleepable variants. 2010-08-10ARM: 6297/1: move U300 timer to dynamic clock lookupLinus Walleij
This moves the U300 timer code to look up its clock rate from the clock framework as is apropriate and also switches it over to use the generic code for *calc_mult_shift() on clock source and clock event. 2010-08-10ARM: 6296/1: clock U300 intcon and timer properlyLinus Walleij
This removes the quirks to clock the U300 VIC and timer by custom hooks and moves the control out to the clock framework where it belongs. This is possible now that clocks are available early. 2010-08-10ARM: 6295/1: fix U300 apb_pclk splitLinus Walleij
This fixes a regression due to the new apb_pclk stuff in the U300 platform, makes it run by splitting the apb clock off the single UART clocks. For the MMCI and PL022 clocks we don't split them: these are actually hardwired to the same clock terminal and will thus simply have a double reference count and will be referenced twice. We also move clock registration to .init_irq() so they are available early enough for probing to be successful and remove the earlier quirk to clock primecells during PrimeCell registration. 2010-08-10ARM: 6306/1: fix inverted MMC card detect in U300Linus Walleij
This converts the U300 to uninverted logic for MMCI card detect, fixing a regression in the current tree. Signed-off-by: Linus Walleij <linus.walleij@stericsson.com> Signed-off-by: Russell King <rmk+kernel@arm.linux.org.uk>
