2014-09-23pinctrl: at91: Fix failure path in at91_gpio_probe pathPramod Gurav
This fixes the whole error handling in probe function by capturing and returning error values on kernel function like clk_prepare, clk_enable, gpiochip_add etc. CC: Jean-Christophe Plagniol-Villard <plagnioj@jcrosoft.com> CC: Linus Walleij <linus.walleij@linaro.org> Signed-off-by: Pramod Gurav <pramod.gurav@smartplayin.com> Signed-off-by: Linus Walleij <linus.walleij@linaro.org>

2014-09-23pinctrl: imx: detect uninitialized pinsStefan Agner
The pinctrl driver initialized the register offsets for the pins with 0. On Vybrid an offset of 0 is a valid offset for the pinctrl mux register. So far, this was solved using the ZERO_OFFSET_VALID flag which allowed offsets of 0. However, this does not allow to verify whether a pins struct imx_pmx_func was initialized or not. Use signed offset values for register offsets and initialize those with -1 in order to detect uninitialized offset values reliable. 2014-09-19pinctrl: tegra: Add MIPI pad controlSean Paul
This patch adds MIPI CSI/DSIB pad control mux register from the APB misc block to tegra pinctrl. Without writing to this register, the dsib pads are muxed as csi, and cannot be used. The register is not yet documented in the TRM, here is the description: 70000820: APB_MISC_GP_MIPI_PAD_CTRL_0 [31:02] RESERVED [01:01] DSIB_MODE [CSI=0,DSIB=1] [00:00] RESERVED Signed-off-by: Sean Paul <seanpaul@chromium.org> Acked-by: Stephen Warren <swarren@nvidia.com> Signed-off-by: Linus Walleij <linus.walleij@linaro.org>

2014-09-05pinctrl: single: fix freudian slipLinus Walleij
commit 03e9f0cac5da6af85758276cb4624caf5911f2b9 "pinctrl: clean up after enable refactoring" renamed the vtable callback .enable to .set_mux. The renaming was done manually, and one of the alterations contained a freudian slip. I confess, I am human. Signed-off-by: Linus Walleij <linus.walleij@linaro.org>
2014-09-05pinctrl: at91: add drive strength configurationMarek Roszko
The SAMA5 and SAM9x5 series both have drive strength options for the PIOs. This patch adds the ability to set one of three hardware options for drive strengths of low, medium or high for the each pin. The actual current output of the chip based on the setting is defined in the datasheets and varies per pins separate from banks and with supply voltage. This patch adds three new dt-bindings that allow setting the strength when configuring pins. By default, no change will be made to the drive strength of a pin from its reset value. Due to the difference between the register addresses of the SAMA5 and SAM9x5 series, a new sama5d3-pinctrl id was added. 2014-09-04pinctrl: qcom: Make the target processor value configurableGeorgi Djakov
Currently the value used to specify that interrupts from the gpio should be routed to the application processor is hardcoded for all Qualcomm SoCs. But the new APQ8084 SoC uses a different value. To resolve this, we make this value configurable for each SoC. For all existing SoCs we continue to use the current value, and only for APQ8084 we use the new value. 2014-09-04pinctrl: qcom: Add APQ8084 pinctrl supportGeorgi Djakov
This patchset adds pinctrl support for the Qualcomm APQ8084 platform. This set of patches adds pinctrl support for the Qualcomm APQ8084 platform. The first patch adds the pin definitions. The second patch contains the devicetree binding documentation. The third patch adds the DT node. The last patch makes the INTR_TARGET_PROC_APPS value configurable and defines it for each existing SoC. Tested on IFC6540 board. Changes since v3: - Fixed the sdc valid pin values in the binding documentation - sdc2 instead of sdc3. (suggested by Bjorn Andersson) Changes since v2: - Fixed some incorrect bits and offsets. (suggested by Bjorn Andersson) - Updated binding documentation to follow the format of msm8960. (suggested by Bjorn Andersson) - Added fourth patch, which removes the hardcoded INTR_TARGET_PROC_APPS value and makes it configurable. Also we keep the current value for existing SoCs. (suggested by Bjorn Andersson) Changes since v1: - Updated the total number of pins (suggested by Bjorn Andersson) - Added the missing pin info (provided by Andy Gross) - Updated groups and functions to be consistent with other pinctrls. (suggested by Andy Gross) - Removed unused functions, qdss and test pins. (suggested by Andy Gross) - Updated the documentation with the possible functions. 2014-09-04pinctrl: sh-pfc: rename confusing pinmux ops variableLinus Walleij

2014-09-04pinctrl: clean up after enable refactoringLinus Walleij
commit 2243a87d90b42eb38bc281957df3e57c712b5e56 "pinctrl: avoid duplicated calling enable_pinmux_setting for a pin" removed the .disable callback from the struct pinmux_ops, making the .enable() callback the only remaining callback. However .enable() is a bad name as it seems to imply that a muxing can also be disabled. Rename the callback to .set_mux() and also take this opportunity to clean out any remaining mentions of .disable() from the documentation. 2014-09-02pinctrl: sh-pfc: use a saner Kconfig symbolLinus Walleij
There is currently a kludge to get the Makefile to move down to sh-pfc:s drivers: the arch definitions are used twice to get it done. However we can very well use the Kconfig symbol for the SH PFC pin control feature itself: it doesn't matter that it comes from a lower leaf in the Kconfig hierarchy which is completely orthogonal. To save power, after FEC probe finish, FEC driver disable all clocks including ipg clock that is needed for register access. i.MX5x, i.MX6q/dl/sl FEC register access don't cause system hang when ipg clock is disabled, just return zero value. But for i.MX6sx SOC, it cause system hang. To avoid the issue, we need to check ptp clock status before ptp timer count access. 2014-08-22firmware: Do not use WARN_ON(!spin_is_locked())Guenter Roeck
spin_is_locked() always returns false for uniprocessor configurations in several architectures, so do not use WARN_ON with it. Use lockdep_assert_held() instead to also reduce overhead in non-debug kernels. 2014-08-21cxgb4: Free completed tx skbs promptlyHariprasad Shenai
Description of problem: The NIC card is not reporting back to the driver the transmitted skbs, so they get stuck in the TX ring causing issues with reference counters in other kernel components. Developed a new Automatic Egress Queue Update firmware facility to slowly tick through Egress Queues and send back any outstanding CIDX Updates which are laying around. 2014-08-21cxgb4: Fix race condition in cleanupAnish Bhatt
There is a possible race condition when we unregister the PCI Driver and then flush/destroy the global "workq". This could lead to situations where there are tasks on the Work Queue with references to now deleted adapter data structures. Instead, have per-adapter Work Queues which were instantiated and torn down in init_one() and remove_one(), respectively. v2: Remove unnecessary call to flush_workqueue() before destroy_workqueue() Signed-off-by: Anish Bhatt <anish@chelsio.com> Signed-off-by: Casey Leedom <leedom@chelsio.com> Acked-by: Neil Horman <nhorman@tuxdriver.com> Signed-off-by: David S. 2014-08-22sh: intc: Confine SH_INTC to platforms that need itGeert Uytterhoeven
Currently the sh-intc driver is compiled on all SuperH and non-multiplatform SH-Mobile platforms, while it's only used on a limited number of platforms: - SuperH: SH2(A), SH3(A), SH4(A)(L) (all but SH5) - ARM: sh7372, sh73a0 Drop the "default y" on SH_INTC, make all CPU platforms that use it select it, and protect all sub-options by "if SH_INTC" to fix this. 2014-08-21bnx2x: Revert UNDI flushing mechanismYuval Mintz
Commit 91ebb929b6f8 ("bnx2x: Add support for Multi-Function UNDI") [which was later supposedly fixed by de682941eef3 ("bnx2x: Fix UNDI driver unload")] introduced a bug in which in some [yet-to-be-determined] scenarios the alternative flushing mechanism which was to guarantee the Rx buffers are empty before resetting them during device probe will fail. If this happens, when device will be loaded once more a fatal attention will occur; Since this most likely happens in boot from SAN scenarios, the machine will fail to load. Notice this may occur not only in the 'Multi-Function' scenario but in the regular scenario as well, i.e., this introduced a regression in the driver's ability to perform boot from SAN. The patch reverts the mechanism and applies the old scheme to multi-function devices as well as to single-function devices. 2014-08-21qlcnic: Fix endianess issue in firmware load from file operationShahed Shaikh
Firmware binary file is in little endian. On big-endian architecture, while writing this binary FW file to adapters memory, writel() swaps the data resulting into corruption of FW image. So, swap the data before writing into adapters memory. Signed-off-by: Shahed Shaikh <shahed.shaikh@qlogic.com> Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>
