It would then unconditionally try return a flush completion via qib_send_complete() for an invalid wqe, or worse a valid one that is not queued. The panic results when the completion code tries to maintain an MR reference count for a NULL MR. This fix modifies logic to only send one completion per qib_make_rc_req() call and changing the completion status from IB_WC_SUCCESS to IB_WC_WR_FLUSH_ERR as the completions progress. The outer loop will call as many times as necessary to flush the queue. The current driver never does DMA unmapping on these buffers. Fix that by adding DMA unmapping to the task cleanup callback, and DMA mapping to the task init function (drop the headers_initialized micro-optimization). 2011-11-04IB/iser: Use separate buffers for the login request/responseOr Gerlitz
The driver counted on the transactional nature of iSCSI login/text flows and used the same buffer for both the request and the response. We also went further and did DMA mapping only once, with DMA_FROM_DEVICE, which violates the DMA mapping API. Fix that by using different buffers, one for requests and one for responses, and use the correct DMA mapping direction for each. 2011-11-03IB/mthca: Fix buddy->num_free allocation sizeRoland Dreier
The num_free field of mthca_buddy has a type of array of unsigned int while it was allocated as an array of pointers. On 64-bit platforms this allocates twice more than required. 2011-11-01sysfs: Make sysfs_rename safe with sysfs_dirents in rbtrees.Eric W. Biederman
In sysfs_rename we need to remove the optimization of not calling sysfs_unlink_sibling and sysfs_link_sibling if the renamed parent directory is not changing. This optimization is no longer valid now that sysfs dirents are stored in an rbtree sorted by name. Move the assignment of s_ns before the call of sysfs_link_sibling. With no sysfs_dirent fields changing after the call of sysfs_link_sibling this allows sysfs_link_sibling to take any of the directory entries into account when it builds the rbtrees, and s_ns looks like a prime canidate to be used in the rbtree in the future. 2011-10-31epoll: fix spurious lockdep warningsNelson Elhage
epoll can acquire recursively acquire ep->mtx on multiple "struct eventpoll"s at once in the case where one epoll fd is monitoring another epoll fd. This is perfectly OK, since we're careful about the lock ordering, but it causes spurious lockdep warnings. Annotate the recursion using mutex_lock_nested, and add a comment explaining the nesting rules for good measure. 2011-10-31checkpatch: add a --strict check for utf-8 in commit logsJoe Perches
Some find using utf-8 in commit logs inappropriate. Some patch commit logs contain unintended utf-8 characters when doing things like copy/pasting compilation output. Look for the start of any commit log by skipping initial lines that look like email headers and "From: " lines. Stop looking for utf-8 at the first signature line.
